The Holy Protection Chapel and Oratory
Fr. Dan writes: "All
are welcome to participate in our inclusive community. We embrace the
disenfranchised and all those seeking Divine love. We are a progressive
and ecumenical community dedicated to Divine Love and encourages
freedom of thought and expression and seeks to understand the human
condition and offer compassion and caring. We find truth to be found in
many expressions and are open to exploring the divine mysteries and the
great mystery of life itself. We are open to the insights of other
faiths and philosophies. We seek to envision the person of Christ not
merely as a historical figure, but as a living presence within every
person leading us to benevolent action and the desire for peace and
unity. We are a community appreciating a mystical tradition and
richness of the Byzantine Rite, yet respecting individual freedom and
conscience. Rev. Dr. Edmunds has offered inter-faith ministry
(funerals, weddings, prayers of healing, pastoral counseling) and
celebrates the Liturgy frequently in the Chapel of the Holy Protection."
